FONSA – Friends of Nablus and Surrounding areas

FONSA is a local charity established to complement Dundee’s twinning with Nablus.  FONSA – Friends of Nablus and Surrounding areas – supports projects in and around Nablus by working in partnership with local people.  Planting olive trees in vulnerable villages has been popular with farmers and with donors.

FONSA has supported several needy students by paying their tuition fees when their families are unable to help.  The latest project is to support Nursing and Midwifery students as part of an initiative to develop modern medical treatments within Palestine.  An Najah National University in Nablus has set up a new teaching hospital as part of this drive.

FONSA is a registered Scottish charity (SC038512).  More details at www.fonsa.org.uk
