About

Who we are

Tayside for Justice in Palestine was started when a group of concerned individuals came together in response to the unnecessary devastation and destruction caused by Israel’s attack on Gaza in December 2008. Tayside for Justice in Palestine is an open group and we welcome the participation of all who wish to contribute to raising awareness and campaigning for Justice in Palestine.

What we mean by Justice in Palestine

We believe that while the Palestinian people must ultimately be able to decide their future in Palestine, certain key principles, grounded in international law, human rights, and basic standards of justice will be fundamental to a just resolution of the plight of the Palestinians. Justice demands that all people in Israel/Palestine, including refugees, be treated equally, without discrimination of any kind.

What we do

The parameters of a final settlement and of any interim proposals is of course primarily the responsibility of the people who live in Israel/Palestine. Those of us on the outside can only support and campaign on behalf of all those in Israel/Palestine who struggle to bring about a just settlement based on the above principles.

Accordingly Tayside for Justice in Palestine is committed to the following activities:

  • organizing meetings, events to raise awareness among the general public about the issues surrounding the conflict;
  • lobbying Parliaments and other bodies on behalf of a justice in Palestine;
  • campaigning in support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions initiative;
  • raising funds to send to Palestine.

  1. Hello there,

    I am a fourth year jeweller at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee. For my final year project, I have created a range inspired by photography of the refugees of the Nakba.

    I would like to extend an invitation to come and see my collection.

    The Degree Show is open to the public from 19th May until the 27th.

    Thanks! 🙂
