To everyone who helped make it so. Many, many, positive things but one thing in particular – it’s broad based support: SNP & Labour Party MSPs, Liberal Democrat & Lab Councillors from Angus. Scottish Socialist Party, Socialist Workers’ Party, Communist Party of Scotland, Trade Unionists, Pensioners, Church of Scotland, Roman Catholic Church, Muslim faith, Quakers, Fair-Trade, Environmentalists, Dundee/Nablus Twinning Association, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Democratic Left, The Green Party, One-World Centre and the Co-operative Movement.
The first Gig for Gaza has raised £475 for Medical Aid for Palestine
Charity concert for Medical Aid for Palestinians, organised by Tayside for Justice in Palestine, The Apex Hotel, Sunday, 15th March, 7.30 p.m. – 11.p.m. Ticket £10.
Tickets will be available for purchase at Groucho’s Record Store, Nethergate, from 24th February after 2 p.m. I know that we do not normally distribute tickets for events organised by The Movement using this method. However having Groucho’s doing this for us (free of charge, as opposed to the Box Office in City Square, who charge for the service – (my charm
did not work!), you will appreciate just how much this method will reduce the work-load of the organisers.
However, anyone who can’t manage to get to Groucho’s can email me, send a cheque addressed to Sandy Constable, 12 Milner Street, Dundee, DD4 7EW, made out to Dundee Coalition for Justice not War
and your ticket/s can be collected at the Apex on the night.
I would advise people in the movement not to put off time buying their tickets (soon be pay week!), as Michael Marra has a very strong fan base in Tayside. We are looking for donations of prizes for the raffle. If anyone can contribute to this please let us know. This is going to be a great night! Please support Tayside for Justice in Palestine and MAP.
