Auschwitz survivor: ‘Israel acts like Nazis’
The Herald carry a short article on Dr Hajo Meyer who was the main speaker at the event on Friday at Dundee University.
At least 200 people attended the meeting which was fantastic, thanks to all who cam along.

Hajo Meyer – Auschwitz Survivor
Dr. Hajo G. Meyer was born in 1924 in Bielefeld, Germany. Not allowed to attend school there after November 1938, he fled to the Netherlands, alone. In 1944, after a year in the underground, he was caught and subsequently survived 10 months at Auschwitz. He lives in the Netherlands, where he works as publicist and essayist. A member of IJAN, Hajo Meyer is on the board of the Dutch group A Different Jewish Voice
, part of the coalition of European Jews for Just Peace. He is the author of three books, on Judaism, Holocaust and Zionism.
Haidar Eid – live link from Gaza
Dr. Haidar Eid is Associate Professor in the Department of English Literature, Al-Aqsa University, Gaza Strip, Palestine. Dr. Eid is a founding member of the One Democratic State Group (ODSG) and a member of Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI).
Friday, 22nd Jan, the Mosque, 12 noon – 5 p.m. Exhibition – Art installation, leafleting, collecting money for MAP.
Saturday, 23rd, City Square, 12 noon – 5.00 p.m. Speeches commence 1 p.m. (when there will be a press/photo opportunity).
Friday 22nd 7.30 pm D’Arcy Thompson lecture, University of Dundee Tower Building. Holocaust survivor Dr Hajo Meyer will be speaking about the universal application of human rights to all, including the Palestinians.
