Defending Dundee from accusations of anti-Semitism‏

The last issue of the Academic journal Northern Scotland included an article by Nathan Abrams on the history of the Jewish community in Dundee. The picture presented was of a city poisoned by anti-Semitism as a consequence of the twinning with Nablus in 1980.

This was an argument made by those opposing the twinning at the time, but it has no base in reality. It is not only wrong, it is also potentially destructive, and Sarah Glynn, one of the leading activists in Tayside for Justice in Palestine felt it couldn’t be left unanswered. Northern Scotland has agreed to publish her response in its next issue in May. Meanwhile you can read the draft here:
